LONDON (Thomson Financial) - MC Shipping Inc said its shareholders have
approved the 284 mln usd takeover of the company by Bear Stears Merchant Bank, a
private equity affiliate of Bear Stearns Cos Inc.
MC Shipping said representatives for 97.5 pct of the shares voted in favour
of the deal at a special meeting.
MC Shipping expects the takeover to complete in five business days.
