NEW #1.35M SPONSORSHIP DEAL
AND UPDATE ON PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS Loftus Road plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce that
it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Alfred
McAlpine Homes Holdings Limited with a total value in excess
of #1.35 million over the next 3 years. The deal will see
the Ellerslie Road stand renamed as the "Alfred McAlpine
Homes Stand" during the term of the agreement; in addition
there are sponsorship contributions to the QPR and London
Wasps Sport in the Community programmes and the London Wasps
Youth Academy scheme.
Simon Crane, Group Chief Executive of Loftus Road plc, said:
"We are delighted to secure this major deal with Alfred
McAlpines, a major player in both the construction and
housebuilding industry. Their involvement will help us to
build further on the excellent work done to date in respect
of our youth teams and our involvement with the local
community. I believe the level of the deal recognises the
value that Loftus Road plc and its two clubs have in the
business market place".
On 15 July 1999 the Company announced that it had received a
number of preliminary enquiries from third parties which may
or may not have led to an offer being made for the Company. The Board wishes to report that it is no longer in
