LONDON--Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LLOY.LN) said Friday it has
appointed Deborah McWhinney and Stuart Sinclair as independent
non-executive directors of the group.
Ms. McWhinney, a former Citibank executive, will join the board
Dec. 1 and will serve as a member of the group's audit and risk
committees, the bank said. She was previously chief executive
officer, global enterprise payments and president, personal banking
and wealth management at Citibank.
Mr. Sinclair will join the board Jan. 4, and will serve as a
member of the group's remuneration and risk committees, the 9.89%
U.K.-government-owned bank said. Mr. Sinclair has been a
non-executive director of TSB Banking Group and TSB Bank from where
he is stepping down with immediate effect.
"These two appointments will help ensure the board is well
placed to address future technology and market risks across the
full range of business areas in which we operate," said Lloyds
Chairman Lord Blackwell.
In addition to the appointments, Lloyds said Dyfrig John, an
independent non-executive director, won't seek re-election at the
2016 annual general meeting as he wishes to reduce his
workload.
