BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Littelfuse Inc. Wednesday said fourth-quarter
adjusted income rose to $8.5 million, or 38 cents a share, topping the mean
estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 36 cents a share.
A year ago, the company posted adjusted income of $5.6 million, or 25 cents
a share, for the quarter.
Revenue for the Des Plaines, Ill.-based manufacturer of circuit protection
and electrical fuse rose 6% to $134.9 million from $127.8 million a year
earlier. Analysts, on average, had estimated revenue of $133.2 million.
For the first-quarter of 2008, Littelfuse sees earnings of 32 cents to 37
cents a share on revenue of $134 million to $138 million.
For 2008, the company forecasts earnings of $1.80 to $1.90 a share.
Analysts, on average, are estimating 2008 earnings of $1.87 a share.
Shares closed Tuesday at $29.40.
