BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Littelfuse Inc. Wednesday said first-quarter
adjusted income fell to $7.9 million, or 36 cents a share, topping the mean
estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters of 35 cents a share.
In the same period a year ago, the company posted adjusted income of $8.9
million, or 40 cents a share.
Revenue for the Des Plaines, Ill.-based fuse manufacturer rose 1.4% to
$133.7 million from $131.8 million a year earlier. Analysts, on average, had
estimated revenue of $136.2 million.
For the second quarter, Littelfuse forecast earnings of 42 cents to 48 cents
a share on revenue of $142 million to $147 million. Analysts, on average, expect
second-quarter profit of 43 cents a share on revenue of $138.1 million.
