Break out the Aqua Net and leather pants for a night down memory lane back to the hard rockin’ ‘80s! San Jose’s Club Rodeo, on September 23, 2012, will present several ‘80s metal acts, featuring San Jose’s MAXX12. It will be a night of rockin’ music, long hair, ‘80s nostalgia and fun not to be missed!

MAXX12 is one of the San Jose area’s newest sensations. Composed of three super talented guys from the ‘80s metal scene, and featuring T. Michael Riddle, formerly with metal legends Valhalla, MAXX12 promises excitement and fun. The band also features bass virtuoso Jon Hampton and hard rockin’ drummer Ronnie Cascinai. MAXX12’s mission is to rid the US of political trouble, through music, and you can witness their stellar audio and video show in person at Club Rodeo on the 23rd. MAXX12 is already getting quite a cult following in Southern and Western American states; they are not to be missed!

MAXX12 was co-founded by Riddle and his best friend, ‘70s guitar legend Ronnie Montrose. Montrose was known as one of the premier guitar players of the ‘60s and ‘70s, and he started his career as a teenager playing for Van Morrison. He later went onto the wildly popular Edgar Winter Group, and then formed his own band, Montrose, also wildly popular in the ‘70s. Montrose was also famous for discovering then unknown singer Sammy Hagar, who went on to be a superstar in his own band and later with other megaband Van Halen. Montrose went on to executive produce MAXX12, which is part of the reason MAXX12 exudes musical excellence.

The show that night will also feature popular ‘80s metal rockers Faster Pussycat, as well as Gundacker Project, which includes the very bangin’ drummer Craig Martin, and the Johnny Lima Band. Lima’s hits include “Another Lonely Day” and the CD “Living Out Loud.” Lima was formerly lead singer of ‘80s band Cheshire Cat.

Club Rodeo is located at 610 Coleman Avenue in San Jose, CA. Tickets are $15; the show starts at 7 pm. Check out Club Rodeo at www.therodeoclub.com.
