NetPlay TV to launch retail offering with Stanleybet
NetPlay TV plc (AIM: NPT), the interactive gaming company, is launching a new
set of live betting products designed for land-based operations. Stanleybet
International ('SBI') will be the Company's first distribution partner.
Under the terms of a two year contract SBI, Europe's leading cross-border retail
sports betting company, will be rolling out the retail products, initially in
100 of its 1,400 outlets. Retail customers will be able to enjoy all of NetPlay
TV's classic branded live table games, such as Live Roulette, on dedicated
terminals in each betting shop.
The retail products are being launched by a new division of NetPlay TV,
established to roll out the Company's products to other gaming operators and TV
companies. The new division will be headed by Guy Templer, former Managing
Director of Two Way Gaming Limited, a business recently acquired by NetPlay TV.
Guy will take up the role of Business Development Director.
Over the past two years NetPlay TV has shown that live games outperform their
computer-generated counterparts by a significant factor. As a result, the
Company is now significantly scaling up its business to business activities to
enable other operators to take advantage of its branded products and its live
gaming infrastructure.
Martin Higginson, CEO of NetPlay TV plc, said:
"Over the past two and half years we have worked hard to perfect our live
interactive casino gaming offering. Customers are now demanding more from their
gaming experience and we are uniquely positioned to deliver the customer exactly
what he or she needs.
"We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Stanleybet International. Their
extensive knowledge and expertise in the retail betting space together with
their extensive portfolio of retail outlets makes this a very exciting venture.
"Our live interactive TV products beat their equivalent online games by a factor
of more than six to one in revenue terms and generate player session lengths of
over 90 minutes.
"This new deal with Stanleybet International is a significant milestone for the
Group. The move into supplying retail operators is a first for the Company and
opens up new global opportunities.
"I would like to welcome Guy and his team to the business. His skills will
enable us to move quickly in signing new customers."
Guy Templer, New Business Development Director, added:
"I am delighted to join NetPlay TV in this new role. It is clear the customer
demand for live interactive gaming has never been stronger.
"Our products add another dimension to the live dealer experience - they offer
truly entertaining, highly interactive game play borne out of our TV heritage.
We believe that the next generation of online gaming products will combine high
quality video content with a multiplayer gaming experience.
"Stanleybet is a great partner that is ready to innovate and ready to help us
develop the next generation of content for Licensed Betting Operators. The
distribution power of its estate of 1,400 outlets is, of course, massive."
