LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Lamar Advertising Co. swung Wednesday to a
first-quarter net loss of $1.53 million, or 2 cents a share, from a profit of
$8.8 million, or 9 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.
Revenue for the three-month period rose 2.8 percent to $282.8 million.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters was for a loss of 7
cents a share on revenue of $280.7 million.
For the second quarter, the company sees revenue between $316 million and
$319 million, excluding any revenue that will be generated by its acquisition of
Vista.
