LONDON (Thomson Financial) - John Lewis Partnership, the employee-owned
retailer, said week to May 3 sales at its 26 UK department stores increased 1.8
percent year-on-year to 47.7 million pounds and at its chain of 187 Waitrose
supermarkets were up 3 percent to 79.9 million pounds.
Total partnership sales increased 2.6 percent to 127.55 million pounds.
