SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. late
Monday reported first-quarter net earnings of $36.4 million, or 28 cents a
share, below the mean 30-cent estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
Net income in the prior-year period was $44.2 million, or 30 cents a share,
the Lowell, Ark.-based transportation and logistics company said.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose to $878.4 million from $797.5
million, above the consensus Street view of $845.7 million.
The stock closed the regular session down 31 cents at $29.15.
