                                Issue of equity


Burren announces that it has issued and allotted 2,957,220 new ordinary shares
of 20 pence each in the Company as a result of the exercise of options held
under the Burren share schemes by former Burren directors, certain companies
associated with them and Burren employees.

Following the issue of the new shares, there are 144,065,788 ordinary shares of
20 pence each in issue, with each share carrying the right to one vote.
