LONDON (Thomson Financial) - AIM-listed mining companies Investika Ltd and
Tarquin Resources PLC have announced the appointment of SRK Consulting as the
independent engineers to undertake the independent technical review of their
Puquios copper project in Chile.
In separate statements, the companies said it is currently intended that
SRK's due diligence report will be complete in September 2008 and will enable
potential project lenders to fast-track their internal assessment processes.
Tarquin and Investika added they hope to complete the bankable feasibility
study in August 2008, and that, following financing, construction could start at
the end of 2008 with first copper scheduled to be produced in the first quarter
of 2010.
