Interim Management Statement
Rensburg Aim VCT plc ('the Company'), the venture capital trust that specialises in investing in companies whose shares are traded on
the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange ('AIM'), today announces its interim management statement in respect of the
period from 1 September 2008 to 16 December 2008 ('the period').
The unaudited net asset value ('NAV') per ordinary share as at 30 November 2008 was 45.93 pence per share (unaudited 31 August 2008 NAV:
57.79 pence per share), a 20.52% decrease over the period 1 September 2008 to 30 November 2008. The NAV is stated before deducting the
proposed interim dividend of 1.0 pence per share which will be paid on 19 December 2008. Our performance benchmark, the FTSE AIM All-Share
index, decreased by 49.81% between 1 September 2008 and 30 November 2008. At 30 November 2007 the unaudited NAV per share was 76.98 pence.
On 16 December 2008 our closing middle share price was 40.5 pence per share (31 August 2008: 45.5 pence). This is a discount of 9.9% to
the 30 November 2008 NAV (adjusting for the interim dividend). The shares were classed as ex-dividend on 3 December 2008.
During the period the Company committed to invest £250,000 in one qualifying AIM investment. It also disposed of two qualifying
investments for combined proceeds of £491,000 realising a loss of £22,000 over historic cost.
The number of ordinary shares in issue at 16 December 2008 was 40,768,349. During the period no shares were issued or bought back.
The Board continues to believe it is not in the interests of the Company and its shareholders to buy-back shares at the present time.
