MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - India's Infosys Technologies Ltd said it has
signed a memorandum of understanding and formed a strategic alliance with
Japan-based information technology company Nihon Unisys Ltd.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Infosys said the alliance is the maturing of the June 2007 partnership
between the two companies to execute large-scale system upgrades of Oracle's
e-business suite for Nihon Unisys' customers.
Infosys, India's second-largest software exporter, added in a filing to the
Bombay Stock Exchange the alliance also covers product development and
application development and maintenance,
At 3.04 pm, Infosys shares were trading down 0.65 pct at 1,543.00 rupees,
while the broader Sensex was up 0.40 pct at 18,120.52 points.
