Infosys Technologies Ltd.'s (500209.BY) three-year outsourcing contract with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is worth more than $100 million, the Indian software exporter's chief financial officer, V. Balakrishnan, said Thursday.

Balakrishnan didn't provide further details in a text message to Dow Jones Newswires.

Late on Tuesday Infosys said it will manage the internal information technology services, including help-desk support, for Microsoft from centers across 104 countries.

The deal with Microsoft is based on a pricing model that decouples the contract's value from the number of people employed on the project, Infosys said in the statement.

The contract comes at a time when India's outsourcing industry is slowly recovering from the impact of the global economic slowdown, which led customers to scrap or delay projects and seek lower rates for products and services.

Software exporters are now getting more contracts than a year earlier as customers in the U.S. and Europe are reviving shelved projects and allocating more funds for technology services.
