JAKARTA (Thomson Financial) - State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga
said Monday its net profit dropped 40 percent in 2007 from the year earlier due
to higher net 'other expenses'.
Net profit fell to 277.98 billion rupiah last year from 462.57 billion in
2006, the company said.
Sales rose to 2.65 trillion rupiah from 2.30 trillion, while operating
income grew 23.9 percent to 1.02 trillion rupiah.
Interest expense dropped to 714.49 billion rupiah from 727.43 billion. But
'other income' was also down, plunging to 47.35 billion rupiah from 403.03
billion. As a result, it posted net 'other expenses' of 613.89 billion rupiah,
compared to net 'other expenses' of 313.55 billion previously.
Earnings per share fell to 55 rupiah from 97 rupiah.
