MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - India's R Systems International Ltd said it
acquired two units of US-based Sento Corp, which offers customer support
outsourcing services to businesses, for an undisclosed sum.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the IT solutions provider said it
bought the Netherlands-based Sento Europe BV and France-based Sento SAS
(collectively Sento Europe) and that it expects to close the transaction before
Jan 15.
For the year to end-March, Sento Europe had revenues of about 14.85 mln usd,
the release said.
R Systems chief executive Rekhi Singh said the combination will provide its
product lifecycle management (iPLM) business with a strong base in Europe and
will be accretive to its earning in financial year 2008.
At 0526 GMT, R Systems was trading 16.46 pct higher at 129.50 rupees
outperforming the BSE Sensex that was up 0.06 pct at 20,204.06.
