In late morning deals on Wednesday, the Indian rupee declined against its U.S. counterpart. The rupee fell to a 2-day low of 55.355 against the dollar with 55.6 seen as the next near term downside target level. At Tuesday's close, the greenback-rupee pair was worth 55.1175.
