Indian Rupee Rises To 4-week High Against U.S. Dollar

The Indian rupee strengthened against the U.S. dollar in the
morning deals on Friday, as regional shares rose.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex is currently up 35.15 points or
0.42 percent at 8,366, while the broader CNX Nifty index is up
34.25 points or 0.42 percent at 8,268.
Against the greenback, the rupee rose to a 4-week high of
62.2550 from an early low of 62.6950. At yesterday's close, the
rupee was trading at 62.4750.
If the rupee extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around the 61.74 area.
