The Indian rupee that jumped to a 1-month high of 45.7650 against the US dollar at 7:15 pm ET Monday weakened thereafter. The rupee fell to 46.1950 per dollar by about 11:00 pm ET. If the Indian currency slips further, it may likely target the 46.78 level. The dollar-rupee pair closed Monday's New York session at 48.08.
