BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Incyte Corp. on Monday said clinical results
from a Phase I/II study of INCB18424 in patients with myelofibrosis showed
"rapid clinical benefits."
INCB18424 is Incyte's orally available janus-associated kinase inhibitor.
Incyte said the study demonstrated "unprecedented" reductions in
splenomegaly which affects the majority of patients. Additionally, the company
reported "impressive and clinically meaningful" reductions in fatigue, night
sweats and pruritus, as well as increased appetite and weight gain in the
majority of treated patients
Incyte said in addition to the benefits, INCB18424 has been well tolerated.
The company's shares closed Friday at $9.68.
