Investor Carl Icahn nominated Icahn Enterprises employees Jonathan Christodoro and Daniel Ninivaggi to join eBay Inc.'s board of directors, eBay said.

Mr. Icahn recently bought a 0.82% stake in eBay and has requested the company spin off its PayPal unit as a separate entity. Mr. Christodoro is a director for Herbalife Ltd. and Talisman Energy Inc., among others, and Mr. Ninivaggi is a Federal-Mogul Corp. director.

Mr. Icahn wasn't immediately available for comment. EBay said its board was reviewing Mr. Icahn's request.
