LONDON--Dutch financial services company ING Groep N.V. (ING)
Tuesday announced the appointment of BT Group PLC (BT.A.LN)
executive Roel Louwhoff as Chief Operations Officer of ING
Bank.
"In his function as COO Roel will have global responsibility for
Operations & IT, change management and procurement within ING
Bank," ING said, adding that he will start on May 1.
Mr. Louwhoff's latest role at BT was as head of operations. ING
Bank said that it would appoint a Chief Operating Officer in a
strategy update on March 31.
"I am proud that with Roel, we are able to welcome an
experienced manager from a highly relevant sector, with an
impressive track record in leading transformational change," ING
Groep Chief Executive Officer Ralph Hamers said.
