announced that it has been rated as a top supplier for
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions
Virtualization (NFV) solutions for the second consecutive year by
leading telecoms operators, according to a 2014 survey conducted by
analyst firm Current Analysis.
With feedback from 100 senior executives across more than 80
telecoms network operators from around the world (Note 1),
the "SDN and NFV: Evolving Deployment Requirements and How to
Benefit" survey focused on SDN and NFV market evolutions, buying
preferences, vendor capabilities and positioning.
Huawei once again achieved remarkable results in multiple
categories:
- Vendor perception:
- Huawei ranked first in vendor perception
across tier-one telecoms operators (larger than $50 billion) globally
- Buying preferences:
- Huawei is chosen as the top vendor
in which telecoms operators globally (76%) and in Europe (88%) are most likely to purchase
SDN/NFV solutions from; Huawei is also the second most preferred
SDN/NFV supplier in the North American market
- Huawei is rated as the top supplier which
integrated operators (77%) and fixed-line/multi-service operators
(80%) will most likely purchase SDN/NFV solutions from

adoption cycle, with carriers shifting their focus from cost
