The Hong Kong dollar extended yesterday's downtrend against its US counterpart on Thursday morning in Asia. The domestic unit is presently testing Wednesday's 6-week low of 7.7854 against the greenback with 7.79 seen as the next likely downside target level. The pair closed Wednesday's deals at 7.7836.
