Centrica plc ("the Company") received notice on 4 November 2009 (under the obligations imposed by Section 5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules), that on 2 November 2009, AXA S.A ('AXA') had a notifiable interest in 334,256,365 ordinary shares of 614/81 pence each in the Company, representing approximately 1.58% direct and 4.94% indirect of the Company's issued share capital.
