HOLDING IN COMPANY
In accordance with the new Transparency Rules, which came into force on 20
January 2007, the Company was informed on 16 February 2007 by Hermes Investment
Management Limited, on behalf of BT Pension Scheme Trustees that, in fulfilment
of their obligations under Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5, as at close of
business on 15 February 2007, they no longer have a notifiable interest in the
issued share capital of the Company.
