The Company received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act
1985 ("the Act"), that at the close of business on 28 September 2006, BT Pension
Scheme, Hermes Pensions Management Limited and Hermes Focus Asset Management
Limited, had a notifiable interest in 84,060,164 10 pence ordinary shares of MFI
Furniture Group Plc (13.37 per cent of the issued share capital).
