LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Hewlett-Packard Co said it has extended its
agreed 1.6 bln usd offer for Opsware Inc until 1700 EST Sept 14.
Hewlett-Packard, which has bid 14.25 usd per share for Opsware, said it
extended the offer because it has yet to satisfy all the closing conditions of
the deal, in particular it has not received antitrust approval in China, where
the waiting period expires on Sept 13.
Opsware is a software company that helps companies lower the cost and
complexity of running their data centres by automating certain management tasks.
