FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) - Communications and information technology company
Harris Corp. said Wednesday it has been awarded a three-year, $20 million
contract by defense contractor L-3 Communications Holdings Inc.
Under the contract, Harris will provide products and services for a tactical
video capture system that will support training at various Marine Corps
locations in the U.S. and abroad.
The system will integrate video and audio from multiple cameras in multiple
locations to provide trainers with real-time information on exercises and
recorded views following the event.
Harris will provide all network hardware procurement and design, and will
install and test the system at military training sites.
The program is expected to be completed by February 2011.
