HSBC Private Bank announced that Bill Shannon recently joined as Head of the Central Region. Based in Chicago, Bill will be responsible for growing the US business in an important target area of the country. He leads a team of professionals serving the investment management, lending, trust, wealth planning and banking needs of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. He has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management.

Bill received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign including a semester at Denmark’s International Study Program in Copenhagen. He also holds a MBA with distinction in international business and finance from DePaul University in Chicago. Bill was also awarded the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation after studying at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

An active Board Member of the Barrington Area Community Foundation and WINGS Program, Inc., Bill lives in the Chicago area with his wife Heidi and four children.
