HP Enterprise
Services
Mr. John Felker, Director, Cyber and Intelligence Strategy, HP
Enterprise Services, U.S. Public Sector, told us, "HP takes an
enterprise view of security which, in turn, helps our clients
overcome the limitations typically associated with historical and
siloed views of risk mitigation, globalized security and cost
reductions. With the increased deployment of digital technologies,
frequently operated remotely and unmanned, comes the need for
increased cyber and physical security for critical assets such as
SCADA systems. At HP, we don't simply improve your security posture
to address threats and manage risk and compliance, we also bring to
bear an array of services, solutions and industry-leading
technology to ensure you maintain a proactive, mature and agile
security posture designed to navigate through ever-evolving threat
and regulatory landscapes. By leveraging cloud, big data and
mobility initiatives, you can evolve into a more proactive
operating model which will increase productivity, optimize resource
utilization and help you build and maintain safe, secure and
environmentally sound operations."

ImageWare
Systems
www.iwsinc.com
ImageWare Systems reported earlier this month that, "Fujitsu, a
leading information and communication technology company, and
ImageWare Systems (IWSY) (IWS), a leader in Identity as a Service
(IDaaS) cloud-based with multimodal biometric identity management
solutions, announced the global availability of pay-as-you-go,
plug-n-play multimodal biometric cloud identity and authentication
services. This new offering provides enhanced enterprise-level data
security and enables rapid integration into existing or new
corporate programs and applications. The new biometric-as-a-Service
(BaaS) solution leverages the Fujitsu Cloud
Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Trusted Public S5 platform, as
well as its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enablement tool,
SystemWalker® Catalog Manager.
"We are seeing a growing need within the mobility, retail,
healthcare, financial services and banking industries to securely
identify and authenticate mission-critical operations, data and
transaction information, while also addressing IT demands for
utilizing easily-deployed, scalable, cloud-based solutions," said
David Berry, executive vice president, Infrastructure Services at
Fujitsu America, Inc. "Multimodal biometric cloud identity and
authentication services are ideal for these companies, and our
continued work with ImageWare (IWSY) uniquely positions Fujitsu to
address both the needs of these types of companies and their
customers by delivering compelling biometric solutions that can be
quickly deployed in the cloud and provide immediate data integrity
and security."
As a key component to this new cloud-based offering, Fujitsu is
leveraging IWS's GoCloudID™, a premier patented cloud-based,
biometric identity management platform. Providing a full biometric
identity management application suite, GoCloudID reliably manages
access to biometric enrollment and verification to ensure
first-rate data integrity and protection. In addition to being
algorithm and hardware agnostic, the system enables plug-and-play
and can be deployed globally as an end-to-end or modular solution
in a matter of hours rather than days or weeks. GoCloudID includes
a software development kit for rapid integration into existing
company programs and applications. Operating with a pay-as-you-go
model, GoCloudID makes it cost effective to incorporate biometric
identity verification into new and existing enterprise and service
provider applications.
The new offering also addresses security on mobile devices
through IWS's GoMobile Interactive™ (GMI), a biometric-enabled
mobile platform that provides reliable, simple and fast multifactor
identity management. GMI delivers app-level identity verification,
fraud and theft prevention of mobile transactions and active
monitoring for unauthorized access/use.
"With more and more mobile devices being designed with biometric
features and worldwide mobile device payments expected to reach
$400 billion by 2015, it is critical we work with leading
technology companies like Fujitsu, to effectively and holistically
address legacy identity and access management security challenges
facing businesses and consumers in a big-data, smart mobile world,"
said Jim Miller, CEO of ImageWare Systems (IWSY). "We have a track
record for more than a decade working in a variety of large and
demanding environments. In Fujitsu, we have a partner who delivers
world-class cloud services for public, on-premise and private
infrastructure platforms.

McAfee An Intel
Company www.McAfee.com
McAfee reported earlier this month, on April 9th,
"McAfee has both the breadth and the depth of security offerings
needed to support the complexity and massive scale of the Internet
of Things," said Steve Hoffenberg, Director of M2M Embedded
Software & Tools at VDC Research. "With the company's strong
collaborations with Intel and Wind River, as well as its long
history of securing information technology, McAfee is well
positioned to proactively address the security needs of the
IoT."
McAfee is focused on addressing security challenges specific to
the Internet of Things, including expanded requirements for trust,
solution integrity, accountability and privacy. These solutions
must deliver interoperable security which establishes appropriate
and effective protection as every layer including the device
connection and the cloud.
"Security needs to be built in as the foundation of the Internet
of Things," said Michael Fey, worldwide chief technology officer
for Intel Security. "Any disruption to these IP connected devices
can cause damage to the business and our daily lives. We need to
have foresight into what is coming so we can prevent against
