The Sara Kirke Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, sponsored by Ernst & Young, is presented to the woman who has shown outstanding entrepreneurship, as well as technological innovation or leadership—leadership that has significantly expanded the frontiers of Canada's advanced technology industry. The purpose of the Award is to celebrate entrepreneurship and create positive role models for women in Canada's technology sector. The Sara Kirke Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is presented annually to the woman who has demonstrated consistent innovation and leadership skills, resulting in the creation and international acceptance of significant world-class products and/or services. The award was presented to Ms. Fournier at the 30th annual CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Awards gala dinner at Carleton University on May 21, 2015.

This is such a great honor,” commented Julia Fournier, President and CEO of HCMWorks. “Receiving such an award reinforces the true meaning behind the Sara Kirke message—women's participation and advancement in the technology sector. Furthermore, this honor extends far beyond myself—it is a testament to all women representing a legacy of dedication, a tremendous work ethic, and the incredible teams that support them. I truly thank all those who came before me who have paved the way for women in technology—and for those who follow to take this to an ever-increasing level of success.”
