LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Gold Oil Plc. said the well at Azar, onshore
Colombia, has been opened after a delay caused by flooding in the area. The
company said the delay will not cost Gold Oil anything as costs are carried by
other partners.
The company said the Nancy 1 well continues to perform well, with production
averaging 432 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in April, about 46 bopd higher than
the previous month. It also said the geological report for the Nancy, Burdine
and Maxine oil fields -- all onshore Colombia -- was "very encouraging".
Gold Oil has received all approvals necessary to spud an exploration well on
block XXI, onshore Peru, expected to spud between June 25 and mid-August.
