MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd., an
India-based 49 pct subsidiary of British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline Plc., said it
has signed a co-promotion agreement with Daiichi Sankyo Company Ltd.'s Indian
unit for its antihypertensive drug Olmesartan Medoxomil and its combination
products.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
At 11.01 a.m. local time, GSK Pharma shares were up 1.24 percent at 1,057
rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the benchmark Sensex was up 0.16 percent
at 16,779.39 points.
