GE Mine Flight Debuts at Canada's Busiest Airport MISSISSAUGA, ON,
Sept. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - GE Canada announces the launch of GE Mine
Flight, an interactive 3D gesture controlled board. The first
of its kind for GE in North America, Mine Flight is located at
Pearson International Airport, Terminal 1. Beginning the week of
September 17 and running through to Sunday, November 11, Mine
Flight will entertain thousands of traveler's every day at Canada's
busiest airport terminal. GE Mine Flight creates a fully
interactive 3D experience where the player flies through a virtual
mine, using their arms— outstretched like those of a bird - and
body to dive into various elements of the experience. Players
collect points along the way and their scores are ranked. "A first
for GE in North America, we were looking for a fun and interactive
way of telling GE's business story in the mining space," said Kim
Warburton, VP Communications and Public Affairs, GE Canada. "GE
Mine Flight is also a nice addition to our Working for a Stronger
Canada brand campaign which we launched in November, 2011." GE Mine
Flight was developed and executed in cooperation with GE's creative
and media partners, BBDO and OMD along with Belgium-based agency
Brandfirst, who created the interactive 3D game. Everyone is
invited to try the experience at Pearson Terminal 1, domestic
departure area and post scores and photos to twitter or facebook
using the Mine Flight hashtag #GEmineflight. GE Mining Background
