SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - GE Healthcare's surgery division said it has resumed
operations after fulfilling stipulations in a January 2007 Food and Drug
Administration consent decree.
Lifting the decree allows the business to begin selling the OEC 9900 Elite
C-arm, a fluoroscopy machine that uses X-rays to obtain an image of a patient's
insides.
The Salt Lake City-based business, a division of General Electric Co., said
it expects to ship 300 of the units in the next 10 days.
GE shares fell 18 cents to $33.16 in midday trading.
