• Showcasing affordable and efficient stationary fuel cell power plants including existing on-site power installations in Germany and the United Kingdom and electric grid support in Switzerland
  • Highlighting the tallest commercial fuel cell stack in the world, measuring 4.5 meters with a capacity of 400 kilowatts

DRESDEN, Germany, April 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FuelCell Energy Solutions GmbH, a provider of ultra-clean, efficient and reliable fuel cell power plants, announced its participation in the Hannover Messe industrial technology trade fair on April 13 - 17 that will include a full-size replica on display of a 400 kilowatt fuel cell stack that measures over 4 meters in length, the largest commercial fuel cell stack in the world.

"Our market-proven fuel cell power plants, with more than 50 installations operating globally, are affordably solving energy and environmental challenges for customers in nine countries," said Andreas Frömmel, Vice President, FuelCell Energy Solutions, GmbH. "Combined heat and power configurations further support economics while advancing sustainability goals."

FCES will demonstrate the continued advancement of stationary fuel cell power generation at the Hannover Fair, including the display of a 400 kilowatt fuel cell stack replica. The total length of the stack measures 4.5 meters and consists of more than 500 individual fuel cell components, with each component about one meter in length but only about 12 millimeters thick. The net electrical output of the fuel cell stack is 400 kilowatts, adequate to power approximately 900 average-size German homes.
