SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - FuelCell Energy Inc. late Wednesday
reported a fiscal second-quarter net loss of $25.8 million, or 38 cents a share,
versus a year-ago net loss of $18.8 million, or 32 cents a share.
Revenue in the quarter ended April 30 more than doubled, rising to $31.6
million from $11.4 million.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters was for a per-share
loss of 26 cents on revenue of $18 million.
The Danbury, Conn.-based fuel cell maker's product backlog, including
long-term service agreements, as of April 30 was $134.7 million versus $36.8
million a year ago.
Shares of FuelCell Energy closed at $9.46.
