Switzerland's trade data for June is due at 2:00 am ET Thursday. Ahead of the data, the franc showed mixed trading against its major counterparts. While the franc declined against the yen, it moved sideways against the euro. Against the pound and the dollar, the franc pared gains slightly.

At 1:55 am ET, the franc was worth 0.9783 against the greenback, 80.39 against the yen, 1.5316 against the pound and 1.2012 against the euro.
