LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Fossil Inc said fourth-quarter net income rose
to $53.1 million, or 75 cents a share from $35.1 million, or 51 cents a share a
year ago.
The watch maker said sales for the three-month period rose 19% to $463.1
million.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for earnings
of 67 cents a share on revenue of $449.9 million.
For the first quarter, the company sees earnings of 39 cents a share on the
back of a 12% to 13% rise in sales.
For 2008, Fossil is forecasting earnings of $2.12 to $2.18 a share, with
sales growth in the low-to-mid percentage teens range.
The Thomson mean estimate is for first-quarter earnings of 39 cents a share
and full-year earnings of $2.08 a share.
