TROY, Mich., March 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Flagstar Bank today announced it scored higher than the average of the country's largest retail banks in a customer satisfaction survey conducted by the American Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
Flagstar engaged ACSI in a fourth quarter 2007 research project to compare its customer satisfaction performance to the five major U.S. banks - Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Citibank, Wachovia and Wells Fargo & Co. The survey was done using random telephone interviews and the same methodology as the independent research of the country's largest retail banks. Flagstar tied with Wachovia, the ACSI retail bank industry leader, and easily surpassed the other four banks.
