NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - A subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc., an electrical and
mechanical construction firm, on Thursday received an extension on its contract
providing facilities management to banking company Fifth Third Bancorp.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the contract, EMCOR unit Viox Services Inc. will continue providing
routine maintenance and utility management services to Fifth Third's 1,232
banking centers, EMCOR said.
Viox has provided facilities management for Fifth Third since 2004. The
renewed contract extends the deal through 2011.
EMCOR shares leapt $1.35, or 6.1 percent, to close at $23.59. The stock has
traded in a range of $18.52 to $38.69 over the past year.
