Fiberstars Promotes Operations and Management Professional Eric Hilliard to Chief Operating Officer

SOLON, Ohio, May 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fiberstars, Inc., (NASDAQ:FBST), the global leader in energy efficient lighting, today promoted Eric Hilliard to Chief Operating Officer. A general management professional with more than 12 years of experience, Hilliard will take the lead in managing Fiberstars' day-to-day business activities worldwide. His appointment as COO further strengthens Fiberstars' executive team and enhances the company's ability to meet the growing demand for energy efficient EFO products. He will report directly to CEO John Davenport.

Prior to joining Fiberstars, Hilliard was the Business Manager for the composite flight structures business, responsible for all products sales and assets with the Aerospace Business of Saint Gobain, a large multinational corporation. In this role, he had full P&L responsibility, improving gross margins through fixed overhead cost reductions and increasing top line sales through a focused sales strategy based on listening to the "voice of the customer." Previously, Eric was Operations Manager at Goodrich Aerospace where his responsibility focused on plant management ensuring all products processed maintained the high ISO and Aerospace quality certifications required for the aerospace industries. Hilliard has also held a variety of management and operations positions at companies such as Chemical Lehman and HJ Heinz and served a tour of duty as an Operations Specialist with the United States Navy during Persian Gulf combat actions.
