NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Fastenal Co. Friday reported first-quarter
earnings of $68.1 million, or 46 cents a share, beating the mean estimate of
analysts polled by Thomson Financial for profit of 43 cents a share.
Revenue for the quarter rose to $566.2 million from $489.2 million a year
earlier, topping Wall Street's $561.6 million estimate.
Fastenal shares rose 1.7% to $48.50 in premarket trading.
