MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Restaurant chain Famous Dave's of America Inc. said
Monday it named Wilson L. Craft as its new president and chief executive,
effective April 21.
Craft, 54, currently serves as executive vice president of operations for
Longhorn Steakhouse. Longhorn was acquired by Darden Restaurants Inc., which
also operates the Olive Garden and Red Lobster chains, last year.
Famous Dave's said Craft is replacing acting CEO Lane Cardwell. Cardwell is
also a member of the company's board of directors. Cardwell took over in
December after David Goronkin resigned as president and CEO.
Famous Dave's shares rose 45 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $9.63.
