September 13 2016 - 3:15PM
Dow Jones News
Exxon Mobil Corp. reported an equipment problem and gas
emissions at its Baytown refinery near Houston.
"Unplanned compressor shutdown resulted in safe utilization of
the flare system," the 560,000-barrel-a-day refinery said in a
filing it sent to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality,
adding the incident caused "minimal impact to production."
Exxon said the emissions began Monday morning and lasted about
six hours.
