Exxon Reports Compressor Trip at Beaumont, Texas, Refinery

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) reported a compressor trip that caused
flaring at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas.
"The event has ended," the refinery said in a statement to the
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. "No impact to the
community was reported. Actions are being taken to minimize
emissions and to restore the refinery to normal operations."
It said the emissions happened Friday and last more than an
hour.
The 340,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located 80 miles east of
Houston.
