TAIPEI, Taiwan,
Sept. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
Innodisk, the leading provider of industrial and embedded memory
modules, is launching its new anti-sulfuration DRAM modules. Many
industries struggle with excessive downtime due to high sulfur content that
causes irreparable damage to electronic equipment. The silver used
in traditional DRAM modules will start corroding in contact with
sulfur and lose conductivity, eventually leading to full module
failure.
The new Innodisk anti-sulfuration modules elegantly solve this
issue. An extra protective layer is added, effectively isolating
the silver from the surrounding air. This robust layer will remain
unaffected by harsh conditions and ensure that the module remains
free from corrosion.
The new DRAM modules offer lower costs and improved robustness.
By using Innodisk's anti-sulfuration solutions, the system
integrator can avoid lengthy and unnecessary downtime, as well as
costly component replacement; significantly lowering the total cost
of ownership.
Anti-sulfuration modules are suitable for any environment with
high sulfur content. This includes mining, petrochemical, oil and
gas, as well as areas with volcanic activity, hot springs or high
pollution etc. Innodisk's durable DRAM modules are a perfect fit
for, among other, in-vehicle, telecommunications, energy, marine-
and aerospace markets.
The modules are available as ECC DIMM in both DDR3 and DDR4
interfaces, with data rates up to 2666MT/s. The 30μ" gold fingers
ensure a solid connection and signal, and the modules can be
further ruggedized with wide temperature, conformal coating and
side fill as optional alternatives.
