At 2:00 am ET Friday, German producer prices for July is due. Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the euro rose against the pound, it moved sideways against the rest of major currencies.

At 1:55 am ET, the euro was worth 1.2351 against the greenback, 98.04 against the yen, 0.7865 against the pound and 1.2013 against the franc.
